The Flipside Project: Senior Ensemble

“The Flipside Project ” is a collaborative contemporary dance and multi arts project for young people and emerging artists living in Newcastle, the Central Coast and Greater Hunter supported by the NSW Department of Education & Communities, artsNSW and Ausdance NSW, the City of Newcastle, and the University of Newcastle.

This project is unique for the region, providing dance and arts experiences that are inclusive, non-competitive, creative, collaborative and reflect the working processes of the professional arts industry. The young people engaged will have the opportunity to have a voice, presenting their thoughts and ideas in a live theatre setting.

These ensembles will work with professional choreographers and artists (over three intensive creative periods throughout 2017) to create and perform an original work in collaboration with professional choreographers: Cadi McCarthy (NSW), Sara Black (NSW),  Omer Astrachan (NSW),  Jo Clancy (NSW)

Previous choreographers Include: Danielle Micich (A.D. Force Majuere), Marnie Palomares (NSW), Kristina Chan (NSW), Rhiannon Newton ( NSW),  Jake Kuzma,
